SAN JOSE DEL MONTE CITY, Bulacan — A 29-year-old woman allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade was arrested after selling more than P100,000 worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Minuyan Proper on Wednesday (Sept. 23).
The suspect, identified by her alias “Minggay,” was arrested at around 2:05 p.m. after allegedly completing a drug transaction with undercover police officers.
Recovered from Minggay were three pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing approximately 16 grams of suspected shabu (valued at Php 102,000), and the marked money used during the sting operation.
Minggay will be temporarily detained at the PDEA Region 3 jail facility in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga, while the seized illegal items will undergo forensic examination at the PDEA Region 3 laboratory.
The police are continuing their investigation to determine the source of the illegal drugs and identify possible other individuals involved in the drug operation.
The operation was conducted by combined elements of PDEA Bulacan Provincial Office and the PNP Provincial Intelligence Team — Bulacan East Regional Intelligence Unit.
A case for violation of Section 5, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) is now being prepared for filing in court against the suspect. (UnliNews Online)
