THE Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM) through the 1st Civil Relations Group, (1CRG) CRSAFP together with the Philippine Air Force Tactical Operations Group 3 in collaboration with Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Tarlac conducted an Information Education Campaign (IEC) for the West Philippine Sea (WPS) Advocacy during this year’s celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan on Sunday (Aug. 10), at the Bulwagang Kanlahi (Diwa ng Tarlac) San Vicente, Tarlac.
With the theme “Local Youth Actions for SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS AND BEYOND,” the IEC coincided with the Job Fair and Caravan Services of the Provincial Government of Tarlac which was participated by 10 government agencies and 43 local locators with around 1000 participants.
The campaign for the WPS was promoted by the 1CRG, CRSAFP, through a photo gallery display, leaflet distribution, and MULAT Audio Visual Presentation at the center stage. The recruitment info sheets of the different branches of the AFP were also distributed during the activity.
Additionally, as part of the “Post It Support WPS!” initiative of this unit, the participants wrote on a post-it note and displayed it on the board to demonstrate their support for the WPS.
Meanwhile, Luke Pagarigan the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President of Tarlac Province called on the youth to continue being an advocate of change, be informed about the situation of our country in the status quo, and take a stand in promoting peace and development.
“I encouraged all the youth specifically the Kabataang Tarlaqueño to be always informed to what is really happening inside and outside our country. Let us always fight for what is truly ours and let’s continue to be an inspiration not just to our fellow youth but to the entire Filipino people.”
The activity served as a platform for fostering appreciation for the country’s sovereignty and territorial rights, promoting military careers, and strengthening the role of every Filipinos towards our better and peaceful nation. (UnliNews Online)
