CITY OF MALOLOS — The Provincial Government of Bulacan, through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), started the distribution of five-kilo rice subsidy to approximately 10,000 members of the Bulacan Federation of Jeepney Operators and Drivers Association (BFJODA) in the province.
Governor Daniel R. Fernando on Thursday (April 30) said that he was accompanied by Vice Gov. Alexis C. Castro and PSWDO Head Rowena J. Tiongson to led the initial distribution of 5-kilo rice to the terminals and routes around the Cities of Malolos and Baliwag, and Municipalities of Calumpit, Plaridel, and Pulilan.
“This is part ng ating pagsuporta sa mga tsuper, sa ating mga lingkod-lansangan. Di pa rin naman tuluyang bumababa ang presyo ng gasolina,” the governor said.

The PSWDO is currently finalizing the distribution schedule for jeepney drivers in the remaining towns and cities, the People’s Governor added.
This same assistance will soon extend to members of the Panlalawigang Pederasyon ng Bulacan Tricycle Operator Drivers’ Association Inc. (PPBTODA).
Prior to this, the governor also provided P500-worth of fuel subsidy to the members of BFJODA.
Complementing these local efforts, the Department of Social Welfare and Development provided P5,000 cash grant to eligible drivers nationwide. (UnliNews Online)
