CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — Three drug personalities were arrested by authorities while P544,000 worth of shabu were seized following an anti-illegal drug operation conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Bustos Municipal Police Station (MPS) in Brgy. Catacte, Bustos, Bulacan on Tuesday night (May 12).
Based on the report of P/Capt. Heherson M. Zambale, Officer-in-Charge of Bustos MPS, the arrested suspects were identified as alias “Jess,” 49 years old and resident of Brgy. Catacte, Bustos, Bulacan; alias “Dodoy,” 43 years old and resident of Brgy. Talampas, Bustos, Bulacan; and alias “Roel,” 46 years old and resident of Brgy. Paligue, Candaba, Pampanga.
The operation was conducted under PDEA Control No. 3-00-05122026-033 and TIP Control No. B-2026-020-PRO3-BULPPO-BUSMPS, which resulted in the confiscation of approximately 80 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P544,000.00.
Authorities also recovered from one of the suspects a one caliber .38 revolver without make and serial number loaded with 2 live caliber .38 ammunition, prompting an additional case for violation of RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for drug testing, laboratory examination, and ballistic examination of the recovered firearm prior to the filing of appropriate criminal charges.
P/Col. Jay B. Baybayan, Officer-In-Charge of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, commended the operating units for the successful operation and reaffirmed the Bulacan PNP’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs and criminality to ensure safer and more peaceful communities throughout the province.
