4-year-old boy found dead in washing machine in Las Piñas

MANILA — The body of a four-year-old boy who had been missing since Friday (May 26) was found dead Sunday (May 28) hidden inside a washing machine in Barangay CAA, Las Piñas.

The family of the victim had been searching for the victim when they finally saw the young child again, he was already in a state of decomposition.

The child was found inside the washing machine at the house of his 15-year-old uncle, whom the family had entrusted to take care of him.

The suspect’s mother discovered the gruesome secret in the washing machine after the smell of the corpse permeated the air. The victim’s grandfather had previously reported to the barangay that his youngest grandchild had gone missing on May 26, 2023.

Based on the statement given by the suspect’s mother to the police, the child allegedly had an accident. The suspect allegedly heard a loud thud on the stairs. The uncle became frightened upon seeing that his nephew was no longer moving.

In a panic, he took the child and hid him inside the washing machine which is no longer in use.

For now, the 15-year-old suspect has been taken to a facility run by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). According to the victim’s grandfather, they may forgive the teenager, but they are determined to hold him accountable.
