CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) is conducting an investigation into the death of a six-year-old girl whose body was found in a farm area in Victoria, Tarlac on Friday (June 19).
Earlier that day, the Victoria Municipal Police Station received a report regarding the child’s alleged disappearance. Police personnel immediately conducted verification and initiated search and follow-up operations.
Responding officers later proceeded to a reported location within a farm area, where the body of the missing child was found.
As a result of the follow-up investigation, authorities took into custody the minor believed to be responsible for the incident. In accordance with existing laws and procedures, the minor was turned over to the appropriate social welfare authorities for proper intervention and disposition.
P/Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez, Regional Director of PRO3, extended his deepest sympathies to the victim’s family and assured the public that the case is being handled with urgency, care, and impartiality.
“This is a deeply tragic incident, and our thoughts are with the family as they grieve. We assure them that PRO3 will pursue the investigation with diligence and sensitivity, guided by the evidence and in accordance with the law,” Brig. Gen. Mendez said. (UnliNews Online)
