MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — A big-time drug pusher involved in the large-scale distribution of shabu in Metro Manila and Central Luzon was arrested during a buy-bust operation that also led to the confiscation of approximately 500 grams of shabu worth P3,400,000.00.
The operation was conducted at around 8 p.m. on Friday (August 21), along Dau Access Road, Barangay Dau, Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
PDEA team leader identified the arrested suspect as alias “Haji”, 22 years old, who works as a courier driver.
According to PDEA, Haji uses his job to comouflage his illegal drug activities.
Aside from the 500 grams of shabu contained in five pieces of knot-tied transparent plastic bags, operatives also recovered the marked money used during the buy-bust transaction.
Haji will be temporarily detained at PDEA Region 3 Jail Facility, while the seized illegal drugs will undergo forensic and confirmatory examinations at PDEA RO3 laboratory.
The operation was conducted through the collaborative effort between PDEA Region 3 Special Enforcement Team (PDEA-3 RSET), PDEA Pampanga Provincial Office, along with Mabalacat City Police Station.
A case for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165 is now being readied for filing in court against the suspect. (UnliNews Online)
