Bulacan police strengthen child protection drive through ‘Safe Home, Strong Families’ seminar

CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — The Bulacan Police Provincial Office (BulPPO) strengthened its child protection advocacy by joining a special seminar for parents focused on preventing bullying and promoting the welfare and protection of children.

The seminar, dubbed “Safe Home, Strong Families: Anti-Bullying and Juvenile Justice Welfare Act of 2006,” was held on Saturday (Sept. 19), at the Chosen by God Church in Barangay Sto. Cristo in the said city, and attended by parents of preschool to Grade 6 pupils.

Police Major Jaynalyn A. Udal, chief of the Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Unit/Women and Children Protection Desk/Public Information Office (PIDMU/WCPD/PIO) of the Bulacan PPO, served as resource speaker during the three-hour activity.

P/Maj. Udal discussed key provisions and practical aspects of anti-bullying measures, child protection, and the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act of 2006, providing parents with guidance on how to recognize potential risks, respond to bullying incidents, and properly guide children.

The activity was organized by the MCS Class Representative for School Year 2026–2027 as part of efforts to equip parents with greater awareness and practical knowledge in creating safe and supportive environments for children.

Under the leadership of Acting Provincial Director Police Colonel Jay B. Baybayan, the Bulacan PPO continues to promote stronger partnerships with schools, parents, and community stakeholders in addressing issues affecting children and ensuring their safety and welfare.

The police office emphasized that protecting children requires the active participation of families, schools, law enforcement agencies, and the wider community. (UnliNews Online)
