Sen. Go with Congresswoman Lorna Silverio, Mayor Cholo Violago, Vice Mayor Marilyn Veneracion, and other local public officials formally conducted the groundbreaking ceremony of one of the 15 Super Health Centers in Bulacan.

Go said in his short speech during the program, Super Health Center is a medium type of polyclinic but bigger than a rural health center.

He added “As (Senate) Health Committee Chairman, I want to increase the number of Malasakit Centers and have Super Health Centers in our country.

“The super health center will serve as an extension of the municipal health center offering services such as consultation, dental, laboratory, x-ray, EENT, vaccination, and even a birthing center,” he said.

Go said that super health centers will give easier access to medical services for residents in areas that may be far from rural health units (RHUs) or even district hospitals.

“Implemented by the Department of Health (DOH), the super health center has an initial funding of P10 million for the construction and P2 million for the purchase of equipment,” the senator added.
