P2.2M worth of shabu seized, 10 suspects nabbed in region-wide police ops

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Anti-illegal drug operatives conducted region-wide operations from August 1 to 4, 2023, and successfully seized P2,209.000 worth of shabu and arrested ten drug peddlers, including two High-Value Individuals (HVI).

Collaborative efforts among different police units led to the successful apprehension of drug offenders involved in trafficking illicit substances. The operations were carried out in various locations, making a significant impact on curbing drug-related activities in the region.

Among the apprehended individuals were two High-Value Individuals identified as Normallah Cali, together with his watchlisted associates Edgar Roque and Ronald Pineda.

The trio was nabbed by operatives of Angeles City DEU. Confiscated from the suspects were marked money amounting to P9,000, a brown shoulder bag, and eleven sachets of suspected shabu, totaling 110 grams valued at P748,000.00.

Similarly, in Cabanatuan City, Norma Soliman, Israel Mendoza, and Kelvin Ken Aurelio were apprehended. The joint police units seized four transparent plastic sachets containing approximately 109 grams of shabu, with an estimated value of P741,200.00. Additionally, a Cal. 45 pistol loaded with three live ammunition rounds, marked money worth P1,000, and boodle money were recovered from the suspects.

In another operation in Cabanatuan City, Marissa Silverio, and Mark Bautista were arrested. They were found in possession of twelve plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing approximately 51 grams with an estimated value of P346,000.00, along with marked money amounting to P1,000.

In the City of San Fernando, Pampanga, Anthony Araullo, a known member of the Sputnik Gang, was arrested alongside his cohort Jaylord Bungay. During the buy-bust operation, authorities confiscated a Nokia phone, marked money worth P500, an additional P200 in bills, and a total of ten sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 55 grams, with an estimated value of P374,000.00.

Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr., PRO3 Director, praised the dedication and relentless efforts of the personnel involved in these operations. He emphasized the police force’s commitment to eradicating illegal drug activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of law-abiding citizens in the region.

“The successful outcomes of these operations demonstrate the unwavering determination of the police force to combat illegal drug activities and maintain communities that are safe and free from the detrimental effects of drug abuse,” Hidalgo added. (UnliNews Online)
