CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — In a timely and meaningful gesture during the highly charged atmosphere of the 2025 National and Local Elections, Regional Pastoral Officer Rev. Fr. Lt. Col. Jonathan L. Chy spearheaded the distribution of Bibles to police officers across Police Regional Office 3 (Central Luzon).
This initiative, carried out under the Chaplain Service’s spiritual mission, underscores the vital role of faith and moral guidance in upholding the core values of the Philippine National Police—particularly MakaDiyos.
The distribution of Bibles not only serves as a source of strength and inspiration for uniformed personnel but also as a reminder of their sworn duty to act with integrity, impartiality, and compassion, especially during critical times such as elections.
In the face of public scrutiny and the complexities of electoral duties, the spiritual reinforcement aims to promote inner peace, ethical decision-making, and resilience among police officers.
Lt. Col. Chy emphasized that nurturing the spiritual well-being of PNP personnel is essential in maintaining a principled and disciplined force.
“This act symbolizes a commitment to holistic service—protecting not just the peace, but also the soul of every officer serving on the frontlines of democracy,” the Regional Pastoral Officer said.
