MEXICO, Pampanga — In line with the three key pillars of the PNP Chief, Police General Nicolas D Torre III, particularly the swift and responsive public service, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) intensified its operations against loose firearms, criminal gang and crime groups nationwide.
The CIDG Pampanga Provincial Field Unit together with Mexico Municipal Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation recently in front of the parking area of SM City Pampanga at Brgy. Lagundi in Mexico that resulted in the arrest three suspects while allegedly trading loose firearms.
Report that reached Brig. Gen. Rolindo M. Suguilon, Officer-in-Charge of the CIDG stated that the arrested suspects identified as “Bryan”, “John” and “Basti” were peddling loose firearms thru online transaction, they were caught in the act while delivering and trading two unlicensed firearms- one caliber 5.56 AK2000P rifle and one caliber 45 Auto-Ordnance (Tommy Gun) submachine gun, magazines, ammunition, cellular phone, and identification cards bearing the names of the suspects.
“I commend the CIDG Pampanga Provincial Field Unit and Mexico Municipal Police Station for this remarkable accomplishment. You are very swift to respond to this violation of law and immediately captured the suspects. We significantly prevent crime. Maraming salamat sa inyo,” Suguilon said.
He added “Rest assured that your CIDG is relentless in its fight against loose firearms, criminal gangs and potential private armed groups nationwide.” (UnliNews Online)
