Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — The Police Regional Office (PRO3) under the leadership of Acting Regional Director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., has confiscated over P8.5 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested 222 drug personalities from June 29 to July 5.
In one week, PRO3 units across Central Luzon conducted 141 anti-illegal drug operations, among the confiscated substances were 1,086.28 grams of shabu, 3,283.85 grams of dried marijuana leaves, and 520 grams of kush.
Meanwhile, intensified manhunt op rations led to the arrest of 163 wanted persons, including 121 identified as Most Wanted and 42 as Other Wanted Persons, reflecting PRO3’s unwavering resolve to bring fugitives to justice.
Efforts to suppress the proliferation of loose firearms also yielded positive results. In 15 operations, 14 individuals were arrested and 31 assorted short firearms were confiscated and recovered, reinforcing the region’s campaign against illegal possession of deadly weapons.
In the continuing crackdown on illegal gambling, PRO3 conducted 11 focused operations, which led to the arrest of 40 individuals and the confiscation of Php 15,974 in cash bets, disrupting illicit gambling activities in several localities.
Peñones commended the dedication of the operating units and reaffirmed the command’s commitment to deliver effective and consistent law enforcement:
“These accomplishments are a clear reflection of our sustained and intensified campaign against criminality in all forms. We owe it to the public to maintain peace and order across Central Luzon through swift and strategic operations.
