RD Peñones leads random drug test to all PRO3 personnel

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — As part of his intensified drive to uphold integrity within the ranks, P/Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., Regional Director of PRO3, spearheaded a surprise random drug test for all regional personnel on Tuesday (July 8), in line with the Accountability and Modernization pillar of Chief PNP P. Gen. Nicolas D. Torre III.

RD Peñones emphasized that regular unannounced testing is being implemented and that no one is exempted, not even senior officers.

“This is part of our ongoing internal cleansing. We want the public to trust us—that the police are not just enforcers of the law, but also disciplined and drug-free professionals,” he said.

This initiative reflects PRO3’s broader campaign to instill discipline, promote transparency, and ensure that every police officer is drug-free and fully committed to ethical service.

The regional director also underscored that continuous monitoring and strict enforcement of anti-drug policies will be maintained across all units to keep the organization clean.

“Internal cleansing must be consistent and relentless. Only then can we truly say we are worthy of the people’s trust,” he added.

The effort demonstrates PRO3’s commitment to the Chief PNP’s Three Leadership Pillars—Swift and Responsive Public Service, Unity and Morale Within the Ranks, and Accountability and Modernization—by reinforcing the integrity of every police officer on the ground. (UnliNews Online)
