MARIVELES, Bataan — Ten fishermen who recently recovered 1.5 billion worth of floating shabu last June 4, 2025 at Masinloc waters were recognized by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 3 (PDEA RO3) led by its Regional Director Jigger B Montallana.
The Awarding ceremony was held at the Session Hall, Baranagy Sisiman, Mariveles, which coincides with PDEA ‘s 23rd founding anniversary highlighting the continued commitment of PDEA Director General Isagani R Nerez through PDEA RO3.
In his speech, RD Montallana commended the ten fishermen for their honesty and bravery.
According to Director Montallana, the immediate reporting of the illegal substances played a vital role in the successful confiscation of the illegal drugs, which significantly contributed to the government’s anti-drug campaign.
Each fisherman received a grocery item as a token of appreciation for their very commendable actions.
The ceremony was also attended by PDEA RO3 Assistant Regional Director Glenn C Lagutan, Chief Administrative Officer Officer Ms. Johanna Faith R. Villar, and Chief Operations Division, IAV Blessie G Talavero, along with personnel from PDEA Bataan Provincial Office. (UnliNews Online)
