Central Luzon’s No. 1 most wanted arrested in Lubao

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Authorities have apprehended Kurt Jayson Claudio y Puno, 27 years old, the Top 1 Most Wanted Person in Central Luzon (Region 3), during a coordinated operation in Brgy. Bancal Pugad, Lubao, Pampanga on Tuesday morning (Sept. 2).

The arrest was the result of intelligence-driven operations, careful profiling, and close coordination among the Regional Intelligence Division–RSOG3 (RID-RSOG3), PRO3 Cyber Patrol Team, Lubao MPS, and Pampanga PPO.

Claudio faces five counts of Statutory Rape under Criminal Case Nos. G-25-19572 to G-25-19576, issued by Hon. Merideth D. Delos Santos-Malig, Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 51, Guagua, Pampanga, dated August 6, 2025, with no bail recommended.

In a statement, PRO-3 Director, Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., commended the successful operation, saying it underscored the importance of intelligence-led policing and inter-agency cooperation.

“This arrest is a testament to the effectiveness of intelligence-led policing and strong inter-unit coordination. It reflects our commitment to the 7-Point Agenda of Acting Chief PNP, Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., particularly in sustaining campaigns against wanted persons, illegal drugs, and criminality. PRO3 will continue to protect our communities through thorough planning, teamwork, and strict adherence to the rule of law,” Peñones said.

The suspect is now in custody and will be presented in court for proper legal proceedings. (UnliNews Online)
