CITY OF MALOLOS — More or less 1,800 Bulakenyo students from both public and private colleges and universities and senior high schools received educational aid from the Provincial Government of Bulacan headed by Governor Daniel R. Fernando during the “Tulong Pang-Edukasyon para sa Bulakenyo” General Assembly held at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in this city recently.
The educational financial assistance worth P3,000 for state or local universities and colleges and public senior high schools, and P3,500 for other private schools, was deposited directly to the student’s Landbank ATM card and is available to be withdrawn on the same day.
Although not physically present during the event, Fernando, who delivered his speech through phone patch, encouraged the student-scholars to study hard and assured them that the Provincial Government will do its best to expand the program.
Meanwhile, Rizelle Ann Santos thanked the PGB for the assistance, which, according to her, is a huge help in paying some of her tuition and other school fees.
Aside from receiving financial assistance, the students underwent orientation sessions on financial literacy, gender sensitivity, stress management, and mental health awareness. ( UnliNews Online)
