Pulilan town marks 230th Founding Anniversary

CITY OF MALOLOS — With a solemn yet festive celebration, the Municipality of Pulilan marked its 230th Founding Anniversary on Tuesday (Jan. 20) at the Pambayang Liwasan ng Pulilan, highlighting the town’s rich history, deep-rooted faith, and sustained commitment to public service under the banner of “Ramdam na Serbisyo.”

The commemoration began with a Holy Mass, attended by local officials, municipal employees, and residents, offering thanksgiving for more than two centuries of Pulilan’s growth and development.

The program continued with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the Pulilan Hymn, “Ako ang Pulilenyo,” which underscored local pride and unity among the Pulileños.

Mayor Rolando S. Peralta, Jr. delivered the opening remarks, citing the importance of the 230-year milestone and reaffirming the municipal government’s commitment to responsive and service-oriented governance.

A wreath-laying ceremony was later held in honor of the former mayors of Pulilan in recognition of their contributions to the town’s progress and leadership.

A message from Governor Daniel R. Fernando, the guest of honor, was delivered by his representative Crispin de Luna, emphasizing that the responsibility of the present generation extends beyond preserving Pulilan’s cultural and historical heritage.

“Mga minamahal kong Pulilenyo, ang tungkulin natin ay hindi nagtatapos sa pag-alala at preserbasyon ng mga pamana ng ating kultura’t kasaysayan. Tayo ay mayroong pananagutang ipagpatuloy at pagyamanin ang mga pamana na ito nang sa gayon ay maipasa natin ang isang maunlad, matatag at mapayapang Pulilan sa susunod pa nating salinlahi,” the governor said.

Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro also conveyed his message of support, commending Pulilan’s accomplishments and reiterating the Provincial Government’s continued partnership with the municipality.

The celebration concluded with a cultural performance by the Mabuhay Tibag Rondalla Community, showcasing Pulilan’s vibrant heritage through music. (UnliNews Online)
