THREE notorious drug pushers were arrested following a buy-bust operation that resulted in the seizure of suspected shabu valued at Php 680,000.00. The operation was conducted at around 4:20 p.m. in Barangay Molino 6, City of Bacoor, on Wednesday (June 17).
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) team leader identified the arrested suspects by their aliases, alias Bryan, male, 22 years old; alias Vincent, male, 36 years old; and alias Tatay, male, 50 years old.
Approximately 100 grams of suspected shabu valued at P680,000.00 and the marked buy-bust money were recovered from the suspects.
According to PDEA, the trio is involved in the bulk distribution of shabu in CALABARZON, the National Capital Region (NCR), and nearby towns in Bulacan province.
The confiscated illegal substances will be turned over to the PDEA-3 laboratory section for forensic examination.
The operation was conducted by combined operatives of the PDEA Bulacan Provincial Office, in coordination with PDEA Cavite Provincial Office and the PNP Cavite Maritime Police Station.
The suspects will face charges under Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), in relation to Section 26-B (Conspiracy to Sell Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165. Section 5 is a non-bailable offense punishable by life imprisonment and a fine ranging from Php 500,000 to Php 10,000,000. (UnliNews Online)
