NEPPO arrests 2 HVIs, 10 others; seizes nearly P500K drugs, firearms

CAMP Gen. Mariano N. Llarena, Cabanatuan City — Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO) under the leadership of P/Col. Ritchie R. Claravall, Provincial Director, has continuously intensified its anti-criminality campaign which resulted in the arrest of 2 High-value individuals and 10 others, and in the seizure of P422,668.00 worth of shabu, along with illegal firearms during a series of law enforcement operations in the province recently.

Two High-value individuals were arrested by operatives of the Palayan City Police Station during an anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation in Brgy Singalat, Palayan City. The suspects were identified as a 45-year old male resident of Barangay San Antonio, Roxas, Isabela, and a 37-year old female resident of New Bicutan City, Taguig. Operatives seized a total of 51 grams of shabu, valued at P346,000.00.

Meanwhile, similar operations were also conducted by operatives of the Cabanatuan City, San Jose City, Laur, and San Isidro police stations that resulted in the apprehension of 4 more drug suspects. Recovered during the operations was 11.25 grams of illegal drugs, with Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of P76,500.00.

The arrested suspects are now under police custody and will face charges for violations of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

In the implementation of search warrants conducted by personnel of the Gapan City and PeƱaranda police stations in their Areas of responsibility (AORs), operatives apprehended 2 individuals and seized two caliber .38 revolvers, without makes and serial numbers, ammunitions, one black sling bag, black coin purse, black Swiss Gear sling bag, and 7 grams of shabu valued at P47,600.00.

Further, manhunt operations carried out by operatives of the Cabanatuan City (1), Quezon (1), and San Leonardo (1) police stations arrested three (3) wanted persons charged with Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Physical Injury, Slight Physical Injuries, Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Damage to Property respectively, while the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) arrested another wanted person for Estafa.

All the arrested individuals are now under the custody of the operating units for documentation and further legal proceedings.

Furthermore, smuggled cigarettes amounting to P13,700.00 were voluntarily surrendered to Cuyapo, Gen Tinio, Jaen, Pantabangan, and Rizal police stations.
