12 drug suspects arrested, over P1.1M illegal drugs seized in separate anti- drug ops

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Twelve drug suspects, including a High-Value Individual (HVI) and a newly identified Street-Level Individual (SLI) were arrested and more than 165 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P1,122,000 were confiscated 00 in separate anti-illegal drug operations conducted in Bulacan and Pampanga.

In Pandi, Bulacan, operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Pandi Municipal Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation at about 11 p.m. on Wednesday (Aug. 5) in Brgy. Mapulang Lupa, resulting in the arrest of 10 suspects and the confiscation of approximately 60 grams of suspected shabu valued at P408,000.

Authorities also recovered one caliber .38 revolver without serial number, four live rounds of ammunition, one weighing scale, and the marked buy-bust money. The inventory of the seized evidence was conducted in the presence of the required witnesses in accordance with Republic Act No. 9165.

In a separate operation conducted at about 10:10 p.m. on Tuesday (Aug. 4), along Pampang Road corner Sadie Street, Brgy. Lourdes North-West, Angeles City, joint operatives of the City Police Drug Enforcement Unit (CPDEU) and Police Station 2, Angeles City Police Office arrested 2 suspects, including a High-Value Individual (HVI) and a newly identified Street-Level Individual (SLI).

Confiscated during the operation were approximately 105 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price of P714,000. The operation was conducted under a valid Target Intelligence Packet (TIP) and in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

All arrested suspects were brought to their respective operating units for documentation and proper disposition, while the confiscated pieces of evidence were submitted to the appropriate forensic unit for laboratory examination. Appropriate charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165, Republic Act No. 10591, and other applicable laws are being prepared against the arrested individuals.

Police Regional Office 3 Director PBGEN Jess B. Mendez commended the operating teams for the successful operations, emphasizing that the accomplishments are in line with PNP Chief, P/Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr’s PNP Focused Agenda of intensifying the campaign against illegal drugs and ensuring safer communities. (UnliNews Online)
