DENR donates seized logs to boost police facilities

THE Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), through its Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) in Pilar, has donated 10 cubic meters of confiscated timber to the Bataan Police Provincial Office to support the construction and improvement of police facilities.

Marivic Santos, head of CENRO Pilar, said the timber will be used to build and upgrade the 1st District Provincial Mobile Force Company police bases and barracks in Balanga City, as well as in San Pablo, Dinalupihan, and Hermosa towns.

DENR Regional Executive Director Ralph Pablo said the lawful disposition of confiscated forest products reflects the agency’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and sustainable resource management.

“By redirecting seized timber to legitimate government projects, we are maximizing the use of recovered resources while supporting initiatives that strengthen public service and community safety,” Pablo said.

The donation was formalized through the signing of a Deed of Donation in Pilar, Bataan, and was accepted by Force Commander Police Lt. Col. Elias Tait. (UnliNews Online)
