CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — The Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) was recognized as the Regional Awardee for Best Local Government Unit in Crime Prevention by the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM), highlighting the province’s efforts to strengthen peace and order and public safety.
The award was conferred during NAPOLCOM’s 60th Anniversary celebration on Wednesday (Sept. 23), at Casa Cabalen along Jose Abad Santos Avenue (JASA) in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
Received by Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office Head Atty. Jayric L. Amil on behalf of Governor Daniel R. Fernando, the award recognizes the Provincial Government’s continued support for the Bulacan Police Provincial Office (BPPO) and its collaborative efforts in implementing programs that strengthen crime prevention and enhance public safety services for Bulakenyos.
In his message, Fernando underscored that the PGB will continue to strengthen its partnership with the BPPO and other stakeholders in implementing responsive crime prevention programs and ensuring that public safety remains a priority across the province.
“Ang pagkilalang ito ay patunay ng ating patuloy na pagtutulungan upang mapanatili ang kapayapaan, kaayusan, at kaligtasan sa Bulacan. Patuloy nating susuportahan ang ating kapulisan at mga programang naglalayong gawing mas ligtas ang bawat komunidad para sa ating mga Bulakenyo,” Fernando said.
Also recognized during the event was the BPPO headed by OIC-Provincial Director P/Col. Jay B. Baybayan, which was adjudged Regional Awardee for Best Crime Prevention Initiatives for its outstanding innovations and exemplary programs in crime prevention, particularly Project KABALIKAT, Project LIGTAS BULAKENYO, and the Bulacan PPO Unified Command Center which exemplify the principles of Community and Service-Oriented Policing (CSOP).
Meanwhile, PMSG Francis R. Damian was also commended for demonstrating exceptional courage, bravery, and selfless dedication to duty during a robbery incident on August 15, 2025, at the Baliwag Public Market in Barangay Poblacion, City of Baliwag, Bulacan. (UnliNews Online)
