MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — A 60-year-old suspected drug peddler was arrested after yielding some P68,000 worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sapang Biabas here at around 4:20 p.m. on Saturday (October 3).
The suspect was apprehended by authorities during the entrapment operation, which resulted in the confiscation of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as shabu.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) team leader identified the arrested suspect as alias “Nilo,” a resident of Barangay Dau, Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
Nilo yielded five pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing roughly 10 grams of suspected shabu (valued at P68,000), one cellular phone, and the buy-bust money.
The apprehended suspect will be temporarily detained at PDEA-3 detention facility in City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
The operation was conducted by joint operatives from PDEA provincial offices in Tarlac and Pampanga and the Mabalacat City Police Station.
A non-bailable offense under section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 is now being prepared for filing in court. (UnliNews Online)
