PLARIDEL, Bulacan — Four suspected drug personalities landed behind bars after police seized P27,200 worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Plaridel Municipal Police Station as part of its intensified crackdown on illegal drugs.
The operation was conducted on Wednesday (October 7), at about 4 p.m. in Brgy. Poblacion, Plaridel, Bulacan, under the supervision of P/Lt. Col. Restituto E. Granil, Chief of Police. The operation was carried out after a successful drug transaction between the suspects and a police poseur-buyer, who purchased one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu using a marked P500.00 bill.
Following the consummation of the transaction, the operating team immediately arrested the suspects. A subsequent body search resulted in the recovery of four additional heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu from the possession of the arrested individuals. The marked buy-bust money was likewise recovered during the operation.
In total, authorities confiscated approximately 4.0 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P27,200.00, including the buy-bust item. Thereafter, the marking and inventory of the seized evidence were conducted in the presence of representatives from the Department of Justice (DOJ), media, and an elected public official, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
Granil emphasized that Plaridel MPS remains steadfast in its commitment to suppressing illegal drug activities and urged the public to continue supporting law enforcement efforts by reporting suspicious activities within their communities. (UnliNews Online)
