CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — PRO3 Director Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo, Jr., announced that Central Luzon police is ready for the commemoration of Labor Day, including the mass actions expected to be staged by labor and political organizations all over the region on May 1, 2023.
Hidalgo said that a security plan has been laid out for the event. As in the past, there would be deployment for crime prevention and control.
Nearly 700 PNP personnel will be dispatched for CDM chores at the different places of public convergence such as freedom parks and transportation hubs.
Also, all PNP contingents are reminded to observe “Maximum Tolerance”, the PNP’s standing policy when it comes to handling mass action on the protesters.
Relatedly, Police Assistance Desks (PADs)and Motorists Assistance Centers (MACs) are still in place in convergence points like bus terminals, airports, seaports, and recreational areas including highways, main thoroughfares, and crime-prone areas to ensure maximum police presence until May 31, 2023, as “Ligtas Sumvac 2023” is very much in effect.
