BALIWAG CITY, Bulacan — More than P1 million worth of suspected shabu was seized, while several high-value individuals (HVIs) were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations conducted in Bulacan and Pampanga on Thursday (April 23).
In Baliwag City, Bulacan, two listed HVIs were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted at around 7:40 p.m. in Brgy. Poblacion by joint operatives of the Baliwag City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit and PDEA Regional Office 3.
Recovered from the suspects were around 50 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P340,000.00 along with a caliber .22 revolver and ammunition.
In a separate operation in Angeles City, Pampanga at around 8:10 p.m., two more listed HVIs were arrested by joint elements of the Angeles City Police Drug Enforcement Unit, Police Station 2, and PDEA Pampanga along Miranda St. Extn., Brgy. Sta. Trinidad.
Confiscated during the operation were approximately 105 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P714,000.00
All confiscated items were properly inventoried in the presence of required witnesses. The arrested suspects are now under police custody, while appropriate charges are being prepared for filing.
PRO3 Director P/Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez commended the operating units for their coordinated and intelligence-driven operations.
