CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) continuously intensifies its anti-illegal drugs campaign, resulting in the arrest of five drug personalities and the confiscation of suspected illegal drugs worth more than P1.4 million in separate buy-bust operations conducted in Bulacan, Olongapo City, and Pampanga from Thursday (May 7) to Friday (May 8).
In the City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, personnel of the City Drug Enforcement Unit arrested alias “Jen,” a high-value individual, during a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Gaya-Gaya on May 7. Authorities seized suspected marijuana kush, local marijuana, and vape devices containing suspected liquid marijuana juice with a total Standard Drug Price of P360,000.00. Her cohort, alias “Matoy,” managed to evade arrest and is now the subject of follow-up operations.
Meanwhile, in Olongapo City, operatives of CPDEU and PS3 SDEU arrested alias “Jerome,” a listed HVI, and alias “Angel,” a newly identified HVI, in Brgy. East Tapinac. Confiscated from them were five sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 55 grams with an estimated value of P374,000.00.
In Pampanga, a joint operation by Magalang MPS and PDEU-Pampanga led to the arrest of alias “Jojo,” an HVI, and alias “Jay Ar,” an SLI, in Brgy. San Francisco, Magalang on May 8. The operation resulted in the confiscation of suspected shabu weighing around 102 grams valued at P693,600.00.
All arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the respective police stations for proper disposition and filing of appropriate charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
PRO3 Director P/Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez commended the operating units for their sustained efforts against illegal drugs.
“These accomplishments reflect our firm commitment to the PNP Focused Agenda of the PNP Chief,PGen Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr, particularly in strengthening police operations against illegal drugs and other criminal activities. PRO3 will continue to conduct intelligence-driven and lawful operations to protect our communities and prevent illegal drugs from destroying lives and families,” P/BGen. Mendez said.
