Nueva Ecija cops strike hard against illegal drugs; over P276K shabu and marijuana seized!

CAMP GEN. MARIANO N. LLANERA, Nueva Ecija — Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO) intensified its campaign against illegal drugs, resulting in the arrest of 17 personalities and the confiscation of illegal drugs in a series of coordinated operations conducted on Monday and Tuesday (June 15-16).

The joint anti-illegal drug operations were carried out by operatives from Cabanatuan, Gapan, Gen Tinio, Muñoz, Carranglan, Llanera and Guimba Police Station within their respective areas of responsibility.

These operations led to the seizure of 43.83 grams of shabu and marijuana, with a combined Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P267,820.00.

Appropriate criminal complaints for violations of Sections 5 (Illegal Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and 11 (Illegal Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are currently being prepared against the arrested suspects.

Provincial Director, P/Col. Ritchie R. Claravall commended the operating units for their continued vigilance and dedication in the fight against illegal drugs.

“Ang laban kontra ilegal na droga ay hindi lamang operasyon ng pulisya—ito ay laban para sa kinabukasan ng ating mga pamilya at komunidad. Mananatiling agresibo, tuloy-tuloy, at walang kinikilingan ang NEPPO sa pagsugpo sa ilegal na droga upang matiyak ang isang mapayapa at ligtas na Nueva Ecija,” he said. (UnliNews Online)
