CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Three suspected members of a robbery group were wounded following an armed encounter with police during a hot pursuit operation along the NLEX Toll Plaza (Southbound) in Brgy. Turo, Bocaue, Bulacan on Friday afternoon (June 26).
The suspects, who were reportedly linked to robbery incidents in Region 1, Region 4A, NCR and Region 3, allegedly opened fire on police officers who had established blocking forces, prompting the responding team to return fire.
The wounded suspects were brought to the nearest hospital, while SOCO processed the crime scene.
PRO3 Director P/Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez lauded the operating teams for their swift action.
“Criminals who endanger the lives and safety of our people will find no refuge in Central Luzon. We will relentlessly pursue those who violate the law, while ensuring every police operation is carried out with professionalism, accountability, and respect for human rights.
