336 newly promoted PRO3 personnel take oath, don new ranks

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — A total of 336 newly promoted personnel of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) formally took their oath and donned their new ranks during a simultaneous Oath-Taking, Donning, and Pinning of Ranks Ceremony held at the Makatao Activity Center, Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga on Wednesday (July 29).

The ceremony was led by P/Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez, Regional Director of PRO3, who administered the oath and personally donned the ranks of the newly promoted personnel. Of the total promotees, 167 are Police Commissioned Officers (PCOs) while 169 are Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs).

In his message, Mendez reminded the promotes that every promotion carries greater responsibility and accountability.

“Every new rank is not merely a symbol of authority—it is a commitment to serve at a higher standard. Wear your ranks with honor, lead with humility, and serve with integrity. Sa Police Regional Office 3, hindi lamang tayo nagsusuot ng ranggo; isinusuot natin ang tiwala ng taumbayan. Kaya araw-araw, maging karapat-dapat tayo sa tiwalang iyon,” Mendez said.

He likewise encouraged the newly promoted personnel to continuously uphold the vision of Chief, PNP, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. by delivering “Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman” to every community they serve.

The simultaneous donning and pinning of ranks across all levels of command of the Philippine National Police signifies not only the recognition of the officers’ hard work, dedication, and exemplary performance, but also their readiness to assume greater responsibilities in the service of the Filipino people.
