CITY OF MALOLOS — The Provincial Government of Bulacan, led by Governor Daniel R. Fernando, secured a state-of-the-art 2D Echo Ultrasound Machine with Doppler from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) for the Emilio G. Perez Memorial District Hospital (EGPMDH) in Hagonoy during its turnover ceremony on the First Monday Flag-Raising Ceremony at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium on Monday (August 3).
This new heart diagnostic technology significantly elevates the operational capacity of EGPMDH by bringing specialized cardiovascular screening directly to the first district, thus coastal residents no longer need to travel far or spend heavily at private facilities for vital heart examinations.
Compounding the healthcare victory, the sweepstakes agency also released 1.8 million pesos representing Bulacan’s Lotto revenue share for the first half of the year. This is pursuant to Executive Order No. 357-A, which mandates the PCSO to allocate a portion of its Lotto revenues to local government units to support programs and initiatives that directly benefit their constituents.
The People’s Governor expressed deep gratitude to the charity agency for their enduring partnership, reiterating that modernizing district hospitals remains central to his administration’s vision for a healthier province.
“Patuloy nating pagtutulungan ang pagpapalakas ng ating mga ospital, pagpapahusay ng ating mga pasilidad, at paglalaan ng mga makabagong kagamitang medikal upang matiyak na ang bawat Bulakenyo, saan mang panig ng lalawigan naroroon, ay may pantay na pagkakataong makatanggap ng dekalidad na serbisyong pangkalusugan,” Fernando said.
