CLARK FREEPORT ZONE, Pampanga — Two Korean nationals reportedly working as POGO workers were arrested in a buy-bust operation in the Clark Freeport Zone before dawn Tuesday (October 6), after authorities allegedly seized ketamine valued at around P1 million from their possession.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) identified the arrested suspects as alias Jung, male, 38 years old; and alias Hyun, male, 31 years old.
The two Koreans have been in the country for five months and one year, respectively.
Operating teams recovered approximately 200 grams of ketamine(valued at P1,000,000), one mobile phone, and the marked buy-bust money.
According to PDEA, the operation stemmed from a confidential informant’s tip.
The confiscated substances will be submitted to the PDEA Region 3 Laboratory for forensic examination and confirmation.
The operation was conducted through the joint efforts of the PDEA Region 3 Special Enforcement Team (RSET), PDEA Pampanga Provincial Office, and the Mabalacat City Police Station.
The arrested suspects will be facing charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), in relation to Section 26(B) (Conspiracy to Sell), Article II, of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (UnliNews Online)
