BOCAUE, Bulacan — Vice Mayor Atty. Sherwin Tugna publicly unveiled a P 1 million livelihood fund that will provide financial assistance to Bocaueños and build their capacities on livelihood and entrepreneurial ventures.
During media interview on Friday (March 3), Tugna, who is a self-made entrepreneur and former CIBAC partylist representative, said that he secured the fund from the Integrated Livelihood Program of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
Under the program, Bocaue’s working poor and vulnerable and marginalized workers, who are engaged in individual or group livelihood projects, will have access to grant assistance for capacity-building on livelihood.
Tugna thanked DOLE Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma, DOLE Assistant Regional Director Alex Cruz and DOLE-Bulacan Provincial Director May Lynn Gosun for helping realize the program.
Present during the unveiling of the livelihood fund are Mayor Jonjon JJV Villanueva and Team Solid Lingkod Bayan Councilors Alvin Cotaco, Mira Bautista and Boy Takong Del Rosario.
(Unlinews Online)
