CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampang a– The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Region III celebrated its 126th Founding Anniversary on June 24, 2024, at the Regional Office compound in Brgy. Sindalan.
Key officials and employees attended and participated in various activities organized by the SAMAhan ng mga KAwaning NAgkakaisa – Regional Federation Employees Association (SAMAKANA-RFEA).
The event started with a 5-kilometer Fun Run and Zumba session, prioritizing employees’ health and fitness, followed by a mass fostering reflection and unity, after which the Trade Fair opened, featuring local products from District Engineering Offices across Central Luzon’s seven provinces.
In his message, Regional Director Roseller Tolentino highlighted the department’s dedication to improving the lives of every Filipino, aligning with this year’s theme, “Serbisyong May Bilis: Building Better More for a New Philippines.”
“Our office is committed to fulfilling our mission, and through collaboration and mutual support, we can effectively implement infrastructure projects that pave the way towards a better future,” Tolentino remarked.
Assistant Director Melquiades Sto. Domingo expressed gratitude to the employees for their unwavering support, emphasizing their crucial role in advancing the agency’s initiatives and promoting sustainable development across the region.
As part of the event, a Solo Singing Contest featured participants showcasing their musical talents alongside their respective District or Assistant District Engineers from each DEO.
The program concluded with the awarding of winners in the Singing Contest, Inter-District Sports Fest, Fun Run, and the presentation of Service Awards to outstanding employees for their dedicated service and exemplary contributions in the department. (UnliNews Online)
