CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — In a decisive blow to the illegal drug trade, operatives of the Arayat Municipal Police Station’s Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU), in coordination with the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) of Pampanga Police Provincial Office, successfully carried out a buy-bust operation in Barangay Mapalad, Arayat, Pampanga recently.
The operation led to the arrest of a 48-year-old high-value individual identified as “Ramil,” a resident of the said barangay. Seized from his possession was approximately one kilogram of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P6.8 million. Also recovered was P5,000 in marked money used during the operation.
The suspect and the confiscated items were brought to Arayat MPS for proper documentation and disposition. Authorities are now conducting further investigation to uncover the extent of the suspect’s network and determine possible links to larger drug syndicates.
“We commend the dedication and vigilance of our operatives in Police Regional Office 3. This arrest is a testament to our firm stance against illegal drugs and our commitment to keeping our communities safe,” said PRO3 Regional Director, Police Brigadier General Jean S. Fajardo.
