MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — A drug suspect listed in the Regional Target List of drug personalities was nabbed by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 3 Special Enforcement Team (RSET) following a drug entrapment operation Thursday afternoon (Sept. 25), in Barangay Dau.
According to the PDEA personnel, the arrest resulted in the confiscation of approximately P68,000.00 worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu.
PDEA team leader identified the arrested suspect as alias “Vince,” male, 55 years old, and a resident of Barangay Dau.
Alias Vince yielded 7 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing roughly 10 grams of shabu valued at P68,000.00 and the marked money used by the undercover PDEA agent.
The operation was also participated in by the PDEA Pampanga Provincial Office.
Charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) under Republic Act 9165 are now being readied for filing. Section 5 is a non-bailable offense that carries the penalty of life imprisonment and fines ranging from Php 500,000.00 to 10 million pesos. (UnliNews Online)
