Bulacan honors exemplary health offices, workers at Gawad Galing Kalusugan 2025

CITY OF MALOLOS — The Provincial Government of Bulacan recognized outstanding health offices and workers for their exemplary service and commitment to public health during the Gawad Galing Kalusugan 2025 held at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in this city recently.

In his message, Governor Daniel R. Fernando underscored the Provincial Government’s firm commitment to ensuring accessible and quality healthcare for every Bulakenyo.

“Sa Pamahalaang Panlalawigan, malinaw ang ating paninindigan—ang bawat Bulakenyo ay may karapatang maalagaan, maprotektahan, at mabigyan ng dekalidad na serbisyong pangkalusugan,” the governor said.

He also acknowledged the collective efforts of health workers, local government units, and partner institutions who continue to serve with competence and compassion.

“Ang mga parangal na ito ay paalala ng mas mataas na pananagutan. Magpapatuloy ang Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Bulacan sa pagpapalakas ng sistema, pagpapalawak ng serbisyo, at pagtitiyak na walang Bulakenyong maiiwan,” Fernando added.

Meanwhile, Department of Health–Central Luzon Center for Health Development Family Health Cluster Head Dr. Janet T. Miclat emphasized that the true value of the awards lies in the daily sacrifices and discipline of health workers.

“We honor you not only as public servants but servant leaders whose work is ultimately about improving the lives of the people of Bulacan,” the guest speaker said.

She likewise commended local government leaders for their sustained support, noting that Bulacan’s health programs succeed because of adaptive leadership, problem-solving, and accountability at the local level.

“What Bulacan really has is the discipline to keep getting better—and this is exactly what is needed as we continue to strengthen universal health care and primary health services in our communities,” Dr. Miclat added.

Among the winners include the Municipality of Balagtas for Outstanding City/Municipal Health Office; Dr. Consuelo Feliciano of Santa Maria for Outstanding City/Municipal Health Officer; City of San Jose del Monte Community Health Center XII for Outstanding City/Rural Health Unit; Dr. Jean Paul Ong of Marilao RHU-II for Outstanding City/Rural Health Physician; Marineth Mangahas of Dona Remedios Trinidad for Outstanding Public Health Nurse; Ma.
