BAGUIO City — A 39-year old woman tagged as a high-value-target was arrested for selling 566.28 grams of meth (shabu) worth P3,850,706.00 following a buy-bust operation conducted by agents of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 3-Special Enforcement Team (PDEA-3 RSET) on Saturday (April 11) at around 6 p.m.
Three other suspects were arrested during the operation. The PDEA team leader identified the main target by the alias An-An. The three other suspects are known by the following aliases Jay, male, 33 years old; Dave, male, 27 years old; and Jojo, male, 33 years old.
PDEA operatives said that An-An was involved in the bulk distribution of shabu in the provinces of Tarlac, Pampanga and Bulacan.
“She has been on our radar since March of this year, but she was very ellusive and cautious with her transactions, until we were able to secure a drug deal with her”, the PDEA team leader added.
Aside from illegal substances, operating teams also recovered the buy-bust money used by the poseur buyer.
Operatives from PDEA Bulacan Provincial Office, PDEA Baguio Benguet Provincial Office, and PNP Baguio City Drug Enforcement Unit also participated in the operation.
The confiscated illegal drugs underwent forensic examination at the PDEA CAR Laboratory Section, and tested positive as prohibited drugs.
A non-bailable offense under Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) in relation to Section 26 (conspiracy to sell) of Republic Act 9165 are now being readied against the arrested personalities. (UnliNews Online)
