CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — Agents of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 3 (PDEA RO3) scored another high impact operation after a successful buy-bust operation conducted on Tuesday (May 12) at around 6:42 p.m. in E. Santos Street, Concepcion Uno, Marikina.
The operation resulted in the arrest of a high-value-target (HVT) and seizure of approximately 1,000 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P6,800,000.
Apprehended suspect was identified only by his alias, Reniel, 37-year-old male.
Alias “Reniel” yielded one piece of resealable plastic bag containing roughly 1,000 grams of suspected shabu (worth P6,800,000), one unit of cellular phone, and the marked money used during the operation.
PDEA said that Reniel is classified as high-value-target due to his involvement in a large scale drug distribution.
“His area of operation is Metro Manila, Bataan, and Zambales, and his transactions typically involve no less than one kilogram of illegal drugs at a time”, team leader added.
Confiscated illegal substances will be forwarded to PDEA-3 laboratory for forensic examination.
The operation was jointly conducted by operatives led by PDEA-3 Regional Special Enforcement Team (PDEA-3 RSET), PDEA Bulacan Provincial Office, PDEA-NCR, and PNP Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG).
A criminal case for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) under Republic Act 9165 is now being readied for filing in court against the suspect. (UnliNews Online)
