CAMP Mariano N. Llanera, Cabanatuan City — Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO) arrested a High-Value Individual (HVI), a delivery rider, and seized P408,000 worth of shabu during a drug bust operation in Talavera, Nueva Ecija on Friday (May 31).
At around 11:05 PM, operatives of Talavera Municipal Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation in Brgy. San Miguel na Munti which led to the arrest of a 30-year-old male resident of Brgy. Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City. The suspect was caught after selling 1 heat-sealed plastic sachet of shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for one piece P1,000.00 genuine marked money and 14 pieces P1,000.00 boodle money. Seized from the suspect was a total of 60 grms of shabu.
A criminal complaint for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), is being prepared against him.
“We will sustain our intensified operations to prevent illegal drugs from reaching the streets of Nueva Ecija as we remain committed to protecting the Novo Ecijanos from the harmful effects of this manace,” P/Col. Ritchie R. Claravall, Provincial Director, said.
He added that NEPPO’s efforts are anchored on the directives of P/Brig. Gen. Jeee B. Mendez, Regional Director, PRO3, in support of the PNP mantra “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.” (UnliNews Online)
