CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Central Luzon recorded an 8.33 percent decrease or 46 cases lower in the 8 Focus Crimes, with incidents dropping from 552 cases recorded from February 6 to April 5, 2026 to 506 cases from April 6 to June 3, 2026, reflecting the positive impact of intensified law enforcement efforts and the implementation of the Safer Cities and Communities Program.
Among the most notable reductions were Physical Injuries, which decreased by 21 cases or 30.43 percent, Rape by 14 cases or 15.38 percent, and Robbery by 9 cases or 11.69 percent. Declines were also recorded in Theft, Motor Vehicle Carnapping, and Motorcycle Carnapping, contributing to the overall improvement in the region’s peace and order situation.
The accomplishment highlights the continuing implementation of the Safer Cities and Communities Program of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) under the leadership of Secretary Juanito Victor C Remulla, as well as the Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) framework under the PNP Focused Agenda of Chief, PNP, P/Gen. Jose Melencio C Nartatez Jr.
PRO3 Director P/Brig. Gen. Jess B Mendez attributed the decrease to the combined efforts of police units, local government partners, and community stakeholders across Central Luzon.
“The reduction in focus crime incidents reflects the effectiveness of our intensified crime prevention measures, sustained police visibility, and strong collaboration with our communities. These results inspire us to further strengthen our operational strategies and partnerships as we continue working toward safer cities, safer communities, and a more secure Central Luzon for all,” Mendez said.
