Ipinahayag ng mga kalahok ang kanilang mga panawagan sa pamamagitan ng mga plakard na may nakasulat na, “IPAGLABAN ANG LUPA, TAHANAN, AT KABUHAYAN—TUTULAN ANG MGA IMPERYALISTANG DIGMAAN!” at “ISABATAS ANG PAGBIBIGAY NG SUBSIDIYA PARA SA BIGAS SA HALAGANG ?20 BAWAT KILO.” Although their gathering was purposeful, the impact of their call to action extended far beyond the streets.
