Although their gathering was purposeful, the impact of their call to action extended far beyond the streets. As global conflicts, such as the war in the Middle East, cause fuel and food prices to soar, their voices have become a rallying cry for every Filipino family struggling to make ends meet.

NATIONAL GOVERNMENT INITIATIVES UNDER PRESIDENT FERDINAND E. MARCOS

President Marcos has implemented measures to shield families from the impacts of the global crisis, including price caps on essential goods, expanded subsidies for farmers and workers, and initiatives to strengthen local food production and reduce import reliance. Diplomatic efforts are underway to stabilize supply chains and mitigate fuel costs.

City of Malolos Mayor Christian Natividad has launched free transport routes, feeding programs, and streamlined access to government assistance for city residents.

Pandi Town Mayor Enrico Roque connects local farmers directly to consumers and maintains accessible help desks for families in need.

Across Bulacan, other mayors are implementing affordable markets and targeted aid to support their constituents.

A CALL FOR CONTINUED UNITY

The rally at the NFA highlighted that while government programs aim to ease burdens, many families still face challenges regarding access and distribution. Their peaceful gathering served as a reminder that every voice matters, not only for the participants but for all Filipinos striving to provide for their families.

“They are not alone in this struggle,” a Bulacan resident stated. “Our leaders are listening, and together we can ensure that no family goes hungry.” (UnliNews Online)
