PRO3 sustains full support in operations

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police Regional Office Region 3 (PRO3) Director P/Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez joined SILG Juanito Victor Remulla Jr., during his personal visit to the collapsed 9-storey building site in Barangay Balibago, Angeles City, Pampanga on Wednesday (May 27).

The visit enabled the SILG to personally assess the ongoing retrieval and clearing operations being conducted by responding teams on the ground, as well as coordinate with concerned agencies to ensure continuous public safety and emergency response efforts in the area.

Since May 25, 2026, a total of 558 personnel composed of PRO3, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and other concerned agencies have been deployed to support retrieval, clearing, traffic management, and security operations at the incident site.

Gen. Mendez emphasized the importance of unity and sustained coordination among responders to ensure the safety of both affected individuals and personnel conducting operations.

“We remain fully committed to supporting all ongoing retrieval and clearing efforts alongside our partner agencies. Our personnel on the ground continue to work tirelessly to ensure safety, maintain order, and provide immediate assistance to those affected. This is part of our continuing commitment to ‘Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman of our PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C Nartatez Jr,’” Gen. Mendez said.
