Embassy of Korea commends PRO3 for swift resolution of murder case in NE

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), under the leadership of P/Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez, Regional Director, has received commendation from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Manila for the swift and professional resolution of the homicide case involving a 37-year-old South Korean national.

In a formal letter dated 25 June 2026, the Korean Embassy expressed its sincere appreciation to PRO3, the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office, and all operating units involved in the investigation. The Embassy cited the “swift and thorough resolution” of the case, highlighting the dedication and professionalism of Philippine law enforcement.

The victim was discovered on June 17, 2026, inside an abandoned vehicle in General Tinio, Nueva Ecija. Through sustained investigative efforts—including coordinated intelligence work, forensic examination, CCTV backtracking, and close inter-unit coordination—PRO3 was able to identify and apprehend key suspects in just three days.

The Embassy noted that the prompt and decisive action of the police not only brought justice to the victim but also reinforced public confidence in the Philippine justice system and reflected the strong cooperation between the Republic of Korea and the Philippines in law enforcement efforts.

In response, Gen. Mendez attributed the success to the commitment and professionalism of police personnel on the ground.

“This recognition from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea reflects the steady commitment of PRO3 personnel to deliver swift, precise, and evidence-based police operations. We remain committed to protecting all individuals in Central Luzon—Filipinos and foreign nationals alike—through disciplined and coordinated law enforcement action,” Mendez said.

He added that PRO3 will continue to enhance its investigative capabilities, strengthen inter-agency coordination, and deepen international cooperation to ensure the timely resolution of cases and the protection of communities.

The PRO3 chief also reaffirmed alignment with the PNP Focused Agenda of the Chief, PNP, emphasizing sustained crime solution initiatives and operational excellence across the region.

“This achievement reflects our continuing commitment to the vision of Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman—delivering prompt justice and dependable public service to the people,” he said. (UnliNews Online)
