CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — A tip from a concerned citizen led to the arrest of a wanted person facing charges for statutory rape in Sta. Maria, Bulacan, less than half a day after the information reached the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3).
The operation was conducted at around 5 p.m. on Friday (June 26), through the joint efforts of the Regional Special Operations Group 3–Regional Intelligence Division (RSOG3-RID), the PRO3 Cyber Patrol of the Regional Intelligence Division, and the Sta. Maria Municipal Police Station.
Upon receiving the report, the operating units immediately validated the information, including online and social media intelligence gathering, which enabled them to identify and locate the accused.
Acting on the verified intelligence, the team launched a manhunt operation that resulted in the successful service of a Warrant of Arrest for two counts of Statutory Rape issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 61, Angeles City, Pampanga. The warrant carries no recommended bail.
P/Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez, Regional Director of PRO3, commended the operating units for their swift and coordinated response and emphasized the important role of the public in supporting law enforcement efforts.
Mendez said.
He added that PRO3 remains committed to intensifying intelligence-driven operations and strengthening partnerships with the community to ensure that wanted persons are located and brought before the courts without delay.
This accomplishment reflects PRO3’s continuing commitment to delivering Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman while supporting the Philippine National Police’s intensified campaign against criminality. (UnliNews Online)
