CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) opened the month of July with a series of major breakthroughs in its campaign against wanted persons following the successful arrest of the Top 1, Top 2, Top 3, Top 4, Top 9, and Top 10 Regional Most Wanted Persons in separate intelligence-driven operations conducted in Bulacan, Laguna, Pangasinan, Bataan, and Nueva Ecija on Wednesday (July 1).
The six fugitives, all facing charges for murder, rape, qualified rape, statutory rape, and rape by sexual assault, were arrested by virtue of warrants of arrest issued by the respective courts, with no bail recommended in the applicable cases.
The Top 1 Regional Most Wanted Person, wanted for four counts of statutory rape, was arrested in Infanta, Pangasinan through a joint operation led by the San Felipe Municipal Police Station with support from RIU3, CIDG Zambales, and other operating units.
In Obando, Bulacan, the Top 2 Regional Most Wanted Person, facing three counts of rape, was apprehended by the Obando Municipal Police Station Tracker Team with intelligence support from PIT Bulacan West and RIU3.
Meanwhile, the Top 3 Regional Most Wanted Person, wanted for qualified rape, was tracked down in Alaminos, Laguna through a coordinated operation led by the Casiguran Municipal Police Station with support from Aurora police units and Alaminos Municipal Police Station.
In a separate operation, personnel of the San Jose del Monte City Police Station Warrant Section, together with PIT Bulacan East, RIU3, and RMFB 3, arrested the Top 4 Regional Most Wanted Person in Valenzuela City, who was wanted for murder.
At around 9:15 a.m., another intelligence-driven operation resulted in the arrest of the Top 10 Regional Most Wanted Person, who was wanted for Rape by Sexual Assault, in Barangay Central, Balanga City, Bataan. The operation was jointly carried out by personnel of the Balanga City Police Station, Regional Intelligence Unit 3 (RIU3), and Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) Bataan, by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 3, Balanga City, Bataan.
Also, at about 9:45 AM, the Top 9 Regional Most Wanted Person and Top 1 City Most Wanted Person of Palayan City was arrested in Barangay Pulong Singkamas, General Mamerto Natividad, Nueva Ecija. The operation was conducted by the Tracker Team of the Palayan City Police Station.
The accused was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for Rape under Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code, with no bail recommended, issued by the Family Court, Branch 7, Palayan City. Following the arrest, the accused was taken into the custody of the Palayan City Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.
