CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — The Department of Trade and Industry- Bulacan, in partnership with the Bagong Barrio Multipurpose Cooperative (BBMPC) and the Bulacan State University College of Architecture and Fine Arts (BulSU CAFA), conducted a two-day Digital Sketching Training for Disenyo Pandi designers on June 16-17, 2026, at the Pavilion sa Nayon, Disenyo Pandi Wedding Depot, Bagong Barrio, Pandi, Bulacan.
The training aimed to enhance the participants’ design capabilities, strengthen their understanding of fashion design principles and introduce digital tools and techniques that can help improve the quality and competitiveness of their gown and barong creations.
A total of twelve designers participated in the activity, which provided them with opportunities to learn both traditional and digital approaches to fashion design. Faculty members from BulSU CAFA served as resource persons and facilitated discussions on key topics on elements and principles of fashion design, color theory, basic drawing, fashion illustration, fashion and textiles and basic fashion photography.
Through lectures, demonstrations and hands-on exercises, participants gained practical knowledge and skills that they can apply in developing new designs and enhancing their existing products.
One of the highlights of the training was the presentation of the participants’ design works. Designers shared their creative processes, inspirations and techniques in developing their products. The activity encouraged the exchange of ideas and experiences among participants while providing an opportunity to receive construction feedback from fellow designers and trainers.
The training is part of DTI-Bulacan’s continuing efforts to support the growth and development of the local creative industry. By equipping designers with updated skills and knowledge, the program aims to help Disenyo Pandi strengthen its position as a recognized source of quality wedding gowns, barongs and other formal wear.
