LUBAO, Pampanga — A 46-year-old suspected drug peddler was arrested after police seized around P68,000 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Santa Catalina here on Thursday, (Sept.. 17).
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Pampanga Provincial Office said that the sting operation was consummated at around 5:50 p.m., after “Toto” handed over the illegal drugs to a PDEA agent who acted as poseur-buyer.
Police recovered several sachets containing suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as shabu, which were submitted for proper examination and documentation.
The operation forms part of the continuing campaign of law enforcement authorities against the illegal drug trade in Pampanga, particularly the arrest of individuals allegedly involved in the street-level distribution of prohibited substances.
The suspect was taken into police custody and is expected to face charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (UnliNews Online)
