CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) received 48 brand-new Unified 911 Emergency Response Motorcycles during a blessing and turnover ceremony on Wednesday (Sept. 30) here, to help police reach emergency calls faster, particularly in congested and hard-to-reach areas.
The activity was led by Secretary of the Interior and Local Government Juanito Victor C. Remulla Jr. and Chief, PNP P/Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., together with PRO3 Regional Director P/Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez and other police and government officials.

The new motorcycles will support the Unified 911 Emergency Response System, the government’s single nationwide emergency hotline connecting the public with police, fire, medical, rescue, and other emergency services.
The added mobility is expected to help responders reach incidents faster, particularly in congested or hard-to-reach areas.
“In an emergency, every minute matters. These motorcycles give our responders greater mobility and another means to reach our people faster when they need help. We will make sure they are properly maintained, deployed where they are needed, and put to good use for the people of Central Luzon,” Mendez said.
The turnover also supports the DILG Safer Cities Initiative, which strengthens police visibility, law enforcement, community-based policing, and local government participation toward safer and more orderly communities.
It is likewise consistent with the PNP Focused Agenda of PGEN Nartatez, which emphasizes improved police operations, efficient management of resources, personnel welfare, integrity, and community support.
Mendez encouraged the public to use 911 responsibly and report emergencies promptly, noting that early reporting allows police and other responders to act sooner and can help prevent incidents from worsening.
“Unified 911 gives our people a direct way to call for help. Our part is to make sure that when that call comes, our responders are ready and able to act quickly,” Mendez added. (UnliNews Online)
